It is with deep sadness that we share the news of Sharon Clack’s passing. Sharon started LoVE USA in 2004 after hearing about Lily of the Valley Children’s home. In the words of Pat Wright (one of the managers at the time) “We were struggling at Lily Of The Valley Children’s Home we prayed for a miracle and God sent us Sharon.” Over the past 17 years LoVE has been able to support 3 children’s villages and thousands of children, teenagers and young adults. Under Sharon’s vision we fundraised for building a clinic and hiring doctors, creating community projects, buying buses and building playgrounds in South Africa. Plus helping to start a massive vegetable garden and build a school building in Zimbabwe. In addition to this children have been fed, clothed, educated and cared for! There have been multiple times when Sharon was told that without LoVE’s help the children’s villages in South Africa would have had to close down. Sharon’s heart, vision and compassion changed thousands of lives and continues to do so. She was brave, bold, loving, powerful and as another friend put it, “a matriarch of note.” Sharon’s 3 and a half year battle with cancer and later a heart condition ended on Monday morning. She will be deeply missed but we are so grateful to know that she is in the presence of Almighty God, running in freedom and being immensely rewarded for all that she did in this life. She was able to bridge the gap between her life in South Africa and the US, bringing help, life and love to countless children while also giving tremendous purpose to thousand in the US. We were able to open our eyes to the struggles of the AIDs pandemic and vulnerable children and then were moved to action by her powerful calling!
