Conejo Valley Community Church’s 2018 Africa team is going to be visiting, serving and building relationships at 3 different orphanages this summer. We are honored to be representatives of Christ, CVCC and the LoVE Organization.

Dates: July 6-23, 2018.

Orphanages: iKhethelo and Lily of the Valley in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa and Lirhanzo in Chikombedzi, Zimbabwe.

"From a young age, I've always been willing to help out whenever and wherever I could. As I've grown and my faith has deepened, my heart for helping has changed from small local work to a global outreach. Not only do I want to help with hands on work, but I want to help out spiritually and emotionally as well. That’s where South Africa comes into play. Last year, I sat in church and heard about all the pain currently going on in the world and it broke my heart. I felt God leading me to stop waiting and take action now. I felt like I needed to start my global outreach and ministry. I went on to learn my church was traveling to Africa this summer for a short term mission trip, I stepped up and chose to travel alongside them. However, I planned to stay out in Africa for a full year and serve. My plan is to stay in Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa at an orphanage called iKhethelo. There I will work to keep it running and be used where I am needed. As well as hands on work, I'll be spending time with the children and teaching them about their loving Father, playing games and giving them all the love I can. The funds raised will go straight to my flight to Africa and my living essentials at the orphanage for the year. If more can be raised I would love to use it to go out in different parts of Africa and spread the gospel, letting the Lords name be known through Africa as much as possible. I would love to help in the communities and if possible plant churches and schools. We will be traveling out in the beginning of July this year and I hope to have all the money raised before then or close to the date. Any support from thoughts, prayers to donations would all mean the world to me because I’m going to need lots of prayer to keep me strong during this adventure. I wouldn’t be able to do any of this without God and the support of all you amazing people."
